The SMARTE Surface System combines the resilient durability of shredded
recycled tires, with the durability of specially formulated PEM Matting,
resulting in an innovative and unique protective playground surface.

The SMARTE Advantage:

SMARTE can be easily installed by your own crew or volunteers
with a certified supervisor. Geo-textile bags are filled
with washed, 99% metal- free shredded recycled tires. The
easy to handle bags ensure a uniform and stable depth of
rubber base for maximum safety. Certified installers also
available.
- Unique Top Surface
The PEM top matting keeps the rubber in place, out of
the hands and mouths of small children, while enhancing
wheelchair accessibility. Water quickly drains through the
SMARTE layers of PEM matting, rubber bags, and washed stone.

SMARTE does not lose its resilient qualities due to
extreme range in temperature, weather and ultraviolet exposure.
- Provides Healthy Play Environment
The health and safety of children at play are of utmost
importance. PEM Top Matting contains MICRO-CHEK Antimicrobial.
A non leachable biocide that guards against the growth of
mildew, fungi, and bacteria.
- Low Maintenance
The Surface cleans easily with sweeping or wash down. Sweep
away loose debris with a leaf blower.
