In 1997, Sunset Country Club in St. Louis, MO., became our first test course. A section of PEM was placed on a wooden walkway at the #1 tee box.
Response from the members was positive. Within weeks, over 20 rolls of PEM were installed on the bridges, steps, walkways, & cart paths around the course.
We patiently monitored and evaluated the matting for 2 years. We gathered feedback from the golf course superintendent and members.
Response was tremendous! We began actively marketing PEM to the golf industry in 1999.
Since that time, over 2,000 golf courses have utilized PEM to reduce the risk of slips and falls around the course!
